The CL from hell is finally sacked! Woohoo!

I couldn't stand her everlasting nonsense that I pestered the agent to send her away and get me an immediate replacement on Monday. Freaking hell, she (CL) was still blabbering away, blaming me that I didn't inform her the previous night so that she could pack ready her stuff. Oh come on, use her pea brain, if I were to inform her early, I reckon she might have ill-treated my son at night!

Anyway, am glad that all is well now with the replacement on board. This new auntie is so much of a help than the previous one. She does things without me having to specially instruct her and so far, she has already tidied and cleaned my messy kitchen yesterday and today, she has scrubbed my toilet till sparkling clean! I'm impressed!

Me looking forward to end of confinement days, my goodness, I'm so confined that I wanna kee siao liao!

Moo Moo Cow

I feel like a cow, having to milk myself every 3-4 hours. But am glad that with all the strong determination, breastfeeding has been a breeze so far. I don't like it when Garreth boy suckles and I dunno how much he took in, so I've opted to express the milk out and feed him from bottle to monitor his consumption. This boy is a high cc man, at just 1 week +, he is already taking 80ml every 3 hours!

The CL tested my mum's patience last night and I've finally decided to call up the agency to complain and asked for a replacement. Currently waiting for the agent to revert back on the replacement, I can't wait for this horrible woman to leave!

I've Popped!

Finally could take a breather and update the blog. Been suffering from blogging withdrawal symptoms since the day I popped...it was so sudden and we were so not mentally prepared that right now I've yet to recover from the shock :)

Anyway, it was 15 Nov and here's the detailed birth story:

9am: Hubby Goh and I as usual went for our 38th checkup and he promised to bring me to BK for breakfast before heading for work cos' I had cravings for it. At the clinic, Dr Chan made me do the CTG scan to monitor my contractions and baby's heart beat.

9.40am: Dr Chan analysed the CTG report and said that I only had mild contractions and that baby's heartbeat is good so not to worry. Subsequently he performed VE on me and realised that I was already 4cm dilated and my cervix is already very soft. Immediately he sent me to the labour ward and told me that he will see me "in a few hours' time"....OMG!

10am: Was admitted to Labour Ward and sent to Delivery Suite 9. Changed into surgery gown and nurse gave me enema to poo. Was terribly hungry but they just won't give me any food or even WATER! Meanwhile, Hubby Goh dashed home to get the hospital bags and admission documents.

11am: Nurse put me on drip to intense the contraction. Damn bloody bored and the stupid TV channels all showing food programs..made me even more hungry!

11.30am: Dr Chan came to burst my water bag...felt a big gush of warm water flushing down from "below".. Hubby Goh finally came back and joined me in the delivery suite.

12pm: Contraction getting more painful, I chickened out and opted for epidural..haha.

12.15pm: The anesthetist came and administered epidural for me. Nice chap and the whole process was smooth and painless. No instant relieve of pain, though the lower body starts to get numb, still could feel the pain but manageable.

1pm: Nurse came to check my contraction pain level. It was still painful so they added more dosage to make my lower body more numbed. After a while, I couldn't feel my legs at all, Hubby tried to pinch or hammer them but I could not feel anything! Don't like the feeling.

2.30pm: Midwife did VE, already 8cm dilated...

3.30pm: Performed VE again, midwife said can get ready liao and taught me how to push. Pushed twice and they could see a little of baby's head. Pushing was halted and midwife went to page for Dr Chan

3.40pm: Dr Chan arrived and started to wear his surgery gown and got ready his equipment. 2 Midwives assisted me in the pushing, one monitored my contraction, another one was pushing my tummy. After 3 pushes, Baby Garreth is out!!

It was a touching moment when baby was brought to my chest the moment he was delivered. Both hubby goh and I were so happy that we were lost for words and dropped tears of joy together. If my memory didn't fail me, I think Hubby Goh did kiss me after the process was over..haha..must double check with him, the labour went so quick and fast that I can't really remember some details.



I was still pretty awake and cheerful after the delivery. Waiting for the midwives to clean me up and send me to my ward.


Baby Garreth on Day 1...my precious little one... :)

Stilll adapting to confinement days. Now I know why it is called confinement cos' it's really confined at home and doing nothing but eat, sleep, breastfeed and eat, sleep, breastfeed. The CL is driving me nuts each day, she's like a spoilt radio which keeps on repeating her words again and again non stop. The only thing I could compliment her is that she can cook, but that's after making a hell out of my kitchen, I have never seen my kitchen in such a messy state before, like a war-zone. Wanted to call the agency to complain yesterday but after some thoughts, I've decided to give her another chance and monitor her performance till tmr. If all's not well, she has to go go go!

Alright..gotta go rest liao..more updates in the next post!

Annual Leave Day 3

Just when I thought I want to venture out today alone, it has to RAIN! Hate it! Hate it!

Know what? I've waited the entire day yday and the tooopit postman only came at 4.20pm! I couldn't shower, couldn't nap, couldn't go out juz becos' of HIM....aye...

Anyway, glad that I've got my stuff before I popped!

Some loot I've bought online from drugstore.com....cheaper than what can found in Singapore.



This is tummy at Week 38. Reckon that I should take more pics for keepsake since popping soon. Sure is gonna miss the days of caressing the tummy soon. Noticed that the tummy is getting lower now cos' BB Goh has already engaged and awaiting for birth. Walking with the weight pressing against the pelvic is really no joke. The pregnancy only became a challenge recently when the birth date is nearing. No wonder they say the waiting game sucks nearing the end of the pregnancy. Now I totally agree.



Here're the achievements for yday!

1. Polish the mirror in the walk-in wardrobe - CHECKED!
2. Clean the shelves in the walk-in too - CHECKED!
3. Clean the floor with the magic clean wipes (so dusty!) - CHECKED!
4. Download new mp3 songs..now Hubby Goh has officially taken over the possession of my iPod..hmmpf! But no worries, I've got a new one, an iPod shuffle lookalike which I have received at the recent event I have attended. - CHECKED!
5. Read at least a chapter on Gina Ford's book - didn't even start on a page..haha!

Today's plan:
1. Do laundry if the rain STOPS
2. Read Gina Ford's book
3. ...................what else ah??? *lost look*

Annual Leave Day 2

Was woken up by Hubby Goh's alarm clock at 6.45am... that idiot keep snoozing it till 7.30am that I got so pissed and hit his head with my small pillow...ughh...so inconsiderate!!

Luckily I managed to sleep back for another hour plus, else will definitely be grouchy the entire day and become unproductive :P

The weather's super good today! But I can't step out of the house cos' the postman's coming to deliver the bulky item they failed to deliver to me last week as I was in the office. And I'm under his mercy leh, gotta wait from 10am to 5pm for his "arrival"....sure hope he can come soon so that I can sneak out of the house and take a breather. I'm dying of boredom at home!!! I know..this is my dunno how many thousand times complaining it right?

Anyway, I have set some "goals" to be achieved today, so I better get going and get things done:

Did you catch Heroes last night at Channel 5? I thot it rocks! Actually I have all the disks at home, but just dun have the "motivation" to watch it..haha..how ironical!

Mission 1 Accomplished!

It's only the first day of my leave and I'm already dying of B O R E D O M liao..

Luckily I bought some barang from Ikea to keep myself occupied at home previously. I kick-started my first "project" at 1pm and completed it within an hour! I is so proud of my achievement!

The process:

1. Unwrap the set of mural stickers and then start cutting them into small pieces so that it's easier to arrange the design I want.

2. I arranged them on the floor first so that can visualise better...

3. Once satisfied with the design, I transfer them to the wall and start pasting them one by one.



TA DAH!! Here's the masterpiece!!

I think it's quite nice lah...and sure hope Hubby Goh will like it too. Ermm..by the way, he wasn't informed that I'll be transforming the wall. Sure hope that he will not jump when he's back home tonight...keke...but even so...it'll be TOO LATE. Once done, cannot be undone.

Cool Rainy Monday

It's a lazy monday, the sky started threatening to erupt at 9am and finally let go of a downpour at 10. Wish could sleep more but the irritating mental clock has to wake me up at 9am sharp! Can't seem to sleep anymore even after tossing and turning in bed for another 30mins..urrgghhh!


Recently Hubby Goh has been busy fixing my food craves...Clementi satay, mango desserts from Ice Monster, G7 seafood, Burger King Whopper, Breakfast waffles from Coffee Bean, Bedok 85 Bah Chor Mee...haha...yummy yummy.. Hubby Goh was worried at the rate I'm eating, hopefully what I ate, BB Goh also absorb and the weight gain is not entirely only on me..hehe..


And well, here's my latest buy from the auction!!


It's brand new and bought it at $30 (usual price with mat cost $49)...not bad huh! We picked it up last evening and now waiting for Hubby Goh to "commit" a deadline to have it set up. I sure hope he won't take half a year to do it...


Have originally set with Ted to go shopping today but looks like we have to shelve the idea cos' it's still RAINING...sianz..


I wanna find something to do now to kill the boredom...

At Week 37

The tummy is getting bigger and I'm getting less mobile. Even just walking up a slope at the multi-storey carpark leaves me panting.

Already 25 gals in the forum has popped! Looking at their beautiful bb photos makes me so looking forward to seeing mine.



Will be visiting Hubby Goh's granny later (just recovered from a stroke). Should be doing a little shopping in town too cos' the blur mummy to be forgot to buy Baby Cream to stand by..hehe.

Tmr will mark the last day of work for the year...woohoo! Dunno how to survive the boredom at home alone...sigh.

He is Grumpy Today..haha!

Went for the 37th week checkup today and saw Baby Goh pouting during the 4D scan..haha. He's probably feeling grumpy cos' the mummy hasn't had breakfast and he's terribly hungry, my poor baby!

Anyway, am quite disappointed by BB Goh's growth today. His weight today is 2.85kg. Dr Chan remarked that he sees a slow growth this week as compared to 2 weeks ago and that could be attributed to my hypertension problem. For me, my weight has stabilized and I'm glad that there's no gain this week.

Somehow, am quite frustrated about the arising hypertension problem I have inherited from mummy. Have already tried my best to cut my salt intake and watch my diet but the freaking hypertension problem still doesn't go away. It stays on like a leech and prevents my baby from growing the way I want him too. Sigh. Whatever it is, I'm still thankful that he is still growing though...what more can I ask for right? Just upset that I have this hypertension problem that hinders his good growth. *pout*

Dr Chan's gonna monitor my BP again next week and do the CTG scan to check contraction too. He stressed that if BB continues to have slow growth, he will recommend to induce me and bring BB out earlier. Well, actually I dun mind lah..BB Goh is already considered full term, so he is ready to be born anytime. But hang on...after 12 Nov ok? Now still cannot...continue to be good ok?

Buay Tahan Liao

I thought I can be garang and could pull it off till 19 Nov, but I was very wrong lor. Was out only half a day on Sunday with the parents to shop for the herbs and dried foods left me nursing a backache yday! That is when I've decided that my "time" is coming soon and I don't think I can dong till the following week...I need plenty of rest before I pop!

So my official last day at work will be this FRIDAY! Woohoo!!

Have already rushed out my handover list to the boss yday, now left a little nitty gritties to settle before I can totally wash my hands off from work and concentrate on the arrival of BB Goh. Am getting all the jitters but I know I shouldn't cos' I'm already all prepared for the big day.

Argh...going for my 37th week checkup tmr again...really praying hard that all is well and my BP is stabilized..most important of all, BB is still growing and not me la. Tonight got dinner session somemore, better not eat too much else weight will soar high up tmr and will be hard to shed after birth. Already passed the 10kg mark, so now taking hope that it will not pass the 12kg mark.

Been feeling lethargic at work since yday. Hate the feeling especially when I stand after sitting for too long...the backache sucks and I literally have to limp my way till the muscle has been stretched for a couple of minutes. Lucky the massage by Hubby Goh last night was good, the ache has kinda lightened after it and hopefully will not get worse by each day. I think I need a good swim to ease the pain...maybe this Thursay.

*Yawn* Dun feel like working leh...

Tio Small Small

Hubby Goh knocked off from work yday late afternoon, washed his precious car and then came back home to setup the playpen and started cleaning it. Thereafter he kept all the ironed clothes from the kitchen back to the walk-in wardrobe and helped to tidy up the store room a little to accommodate the extra packs of pampers the sister bought from Japan. And all these time I was napping in the room with the aircon blasting at 22 degrees..haha..so shiok!

It could be that heaven decides to reward Hubby Goh for the hardwork, his car plate number came out starters last night, with the exact number and the exact sequence. But but but....unfortunately, the kuku man only bought $2 big iBet and end up winning a miserable $52. So wasted...

The big winners? My papa and mummy!! The avid 4D punters..haha!! They both bought $2 and $1 Big respectively and happily called me up last night to check if I've also striked. Sigh...me no "inspiration" yday lah...so never buy. But I'm happy for them lah..they gain is also my gain mah...mummy said she's gonna sponsor the herbal and dried stuff we are going to buy later...yahoo!!

Achievements so far:
- Playpen set up and cleaned
- Sterilizer tested
- Buying the herbal and dried stuff later
- Hospital bag packed and finalised (juz can't decide which outfit to bring for wearing home on the day of discharge..haha..dunno if the old clothes still fit or not)

More things to do:
- Set up the electric airpot, test and start using it
- Put up the 2 photoframes (on the wall, can't decide which panel of wall?!?) in BB Goh's room
- Call Studio Loft to check if my Bloom shots are ready for collection
- ....anymore???

One by One Starts to Pop!

Just got a sms from one of the forum gals that she has popped this morning! Omg! And her edd is only a day earlier (25 Nov) than mine! *panic* We share the same gynae from the same clinic together with another gal from the forum and she's the first to pop among us!

It's only 3 Nov and right now, already 14 gals from the Nov MTB thread have given birth! So exciting! But no no no no...BB Goh cannot be out that soon, cos' mummy hasn't even completed her handover, buy dried foods/herbs with Ah Mah (going tmr), clean up the play pen, tested the sterilizer, and most important of all, the confinement lady is not ready yet!!! Just tahan for another 9 more days and you can choose whichever day you wanna come out ok? Be good yah??

The weather's good today and I'm finally done with all the washing of BB Goh's clothes and stuff. So happy! But recently has been feeling terribly tired easily. Like last night, slept at 12am, woke up at 9am, and now the tiredness starts to kick in liao. Wa kaoz!

Anyway, I wanna rave about this new mascara that Ted bought me from Tokyo! Simply love it!
I've used so many types of mascara and this proves to be the most fuss-free and delivers the best result! Gives the right volume and length and doesn't clump my lashes like the Maybelline one. Maybe should get the sister to buy in volume and sell online...hehe..
