More Shopping!

We both took leave yday to do some shopping for the little one amidst our busy work schedules. This time we avoided town area and headed to Kaki Bukit for the wholesalers instead.

Baby Hyperstore carries more of Maclaren prams and some cheap brands. Wasn't really impressed with the service as the group of Malay sales ladies were talking among themselves rather than serving the customers. We only took less than 20mins browsing around, grabbed a white baby bath tub that was on sale and left.

Baby Kingdom, juz a couple of steps away, provided much better service than Hyperstore. The sales staff were friendly, they greeted us and left us to view the show pieces and told us to grab their attention when we need assistance. Found the Capella model of pram we saw at John Little there, but the price was exactly the same and there was no further discount. The "auntie" recommended another model of the same brand, but cheaper. It not only has the AB handle system we wanted, it also comes with four-wheelers which facilitates easy manoevuring. I like it cos' it was in shades of red and gray *bimbo* and hubby goh liked it as you only need to activate a button to fold the pram together for keeping. Needless to say, we bought the latter and end up $279 poorer...haha.

Also bought junior goh bolsters and pillow, and I chose the classic pooh casings in blue..hehe. I is so happy!

Here's the shopping list again:

1. Sterilizer - for milk bottles *checked!*
2. Pram - combi for infant and toddler use *checked!*
3. Airpot - for making milk
4. Baby bath tub *checked!*
5. Chest of drawers - to store bb's clothes
6. Bed frame for the guest room -for confinement lady and bb's future bed when he's bigger..
7. Playpen - for bb to sleep, probably gonna bid for a 2nd hand one in Yahoo Auction since babies dun usually sleep long in them
8. Some miscellaneous stuff - bb nail clipper, bb thermometer, hankies, diapers, powder, cotton balls, more clothes, etc..

Oh no...more to spend! It's right that it's not darn cheap to have a baby...and to raise one.

So far, Hubby Goh and I are both waiting earnestly for the birth of junior goh. He has been so far the sweetest, though I will award him with full marks if he's not still taking his time to hire a part time domestic maid for me to do the ironings and to ease him with the wkend vacuuming and mopping of floor.

Some updates: Junior Goh has been starting to kick the mummy since the 16th weeks. The kicks feel like little pushes in the womb, sometimes so intense, but sometimes so mild. It does feel good, esp you know that he is alive and kicking happily inside. But some cautioned that the kicks will become like karate and more painful during the 3rd tri...hmmm...I like the challenge and if it's proved too much to take, the boy will get some spankings when he's finally out..haha.

Hubby Goh has also been religiously telling bedtime stories to the little one everynight. He said that's the least he can do for him, other than feeding me with all the goodies and make sure that he will come out in the pinkest of health. Not that we are kiasu parents or what, but I always believe that if you want to achieve something (like bonding with Junior Goh and developing him to have the good reading habit next time), a little effort is required. Why go to the extend of sending him to the expensive Enrichment classes when he is older where all you need now is to spare just 5mins everynight to communicate and read stories to him?

Am also exposing him to all kinds of music now, from pop to jazz, to even oldies..hehe..oh, that reminds me that I should go loan Megen's nursery collections since she's no longer listening to them.

Ah...feeling the hungry pangs now, better go feed myself before the tummy hurts.....

to be continued...

Ah Boy's Clothes

Haha..I was still complaining to Hubby Goh the other day that we are slacker parents to be, cos we have yet to buy anything for little junior goh, not even a pair of booties.

But...juz last week, the sister was in town and started to do bb-shopping for me...her best loot was the Old Navy and Gap baby rompers! Simply love them! So damn bloody cheap too!

Check out the stripes design...like daddy like son...haha...

Was reading the forum and it suddenly struck me that there's still so much shopping not done! Oh no! *panic*
List of things to get:
1. Sterilizer - for milk bottles
2. Pram - combi for infant and toddler use
3. Airpot - for making milk
4. Baby bath tub
5. Chest of drawers - to store bb's clothes
6. Bed frame for the guest room -for confinement lady and bb's future bed when he's bigger..
Arhhh!!!
Bankrupt liao...
Shld start scrounging for sponsorships...haha...anyone??

Mushroom Head

Yeah! I've chopped off my tresses in exchange with a mop bob head!

Now feel so refreshed and light with the short short hair. There's no need to apply conditioner to the ends or spending 10mins in the morning to blow and straighten the natural curls. Yippie!

Dad said that I look "cartoon cartoon" with the haircut *duh*

Colleagues said I look like an "underage mummy to be" *bleh*

Hubby Goh said I look pweety pweety *heh*

Whatever lah.

I juz want a change. The last time I had super short hair was during seconday school times? How reminiscing! Haha...

Sentosa Getaway..

A little postdated, but better than not posting at all right?

Frankly I didn't really enjoy the getaway (Sorry Hubby!)...not becos' of the place of the people, but it's juz the mood was totally ruined by the bitchy boss who demanded I complete the MD's stupid Conference presentation over the weekend so that she can vet through and show to the MD on the following Monday. Was supposed to check in to Rasa at 2pm, but cos' of rushing the slides, we only reached Sentosa at 4.30pm. Urghhh..lucky the rest were understanding and not pissed with us...love you guys!

Our hotel room's view - pool view. A pity we didn't have time to swim..

A shot before we proceed for our dinner. Uncle Renne forgot his wallet (again!), so we camwhored while waiting for him.

These people ditched me to play Luge. Hmphf! I have to jagah their Gucci bag and LV wallets :P

Jeff's big day! Solemnisation by the beach is so lomantic..don't you think he looks like a magician? Muhahaha..

Ser, the bride...

The gals were only on their way back from the mani and pedicure session at Vivo, so we weren't able to attend the ceremony.

Somehow Ser has grown aloof from us eversince "dat" incident. Even that day I met her on msn, she wasn't very friendly and shot me with alot of sarcastic remarks. Perhaps she's sore that I didn't help in her wedding preps, or perhaps she felt that I'm no longer a good fren of hers, but I juz want to maintain that I've always cherishes our golden friendship and it hurts that she's giving me this treatment now.

In her eyes, I'm high-class, cos' I've chosen Glen E for junior Goh's delivery. I'm high-maintenance, cos' I own a few pieces of branded handbags and wallets and I go to restaurant for my meals. Hubby Goh is earning big bucks every month, so even if I dread going to work now, I can easily throw the letter and enjoy being a tai-tai at home.

I dunno where she got this perception but I'm surely not someone she thinks I am. Anyway no point defending myself or arguing with her, it juz saddens me that she has to stereotype me this way.

Goodbye friend, I think this is where our friendship last.

WTF!

A tyrant is a tyrant.

Event when she's in Manila, she still dumping work and chasing me on deadlines.

I wanted to take block leave this week to clear part of my 10 days well-deserved leave which I failed to take since last year cos' she was pregnant and I have take over her duties. It's already June, and 2 wks more if I dun clear them, they will be forfeited. SHE "requested" (or rather, demanded) that I shld be around in the office to keep an eye on the staff around as most of the Mgt are away at the Manila conference. I'm so bloody pissed. I mean if I'm also at the Conference, then who's there to watch these adults in the office?? So in the end, she took a step back and told me to take half day leave each day till they are back in Friday. And mind you, even if I'm really taking the block leave this week, I'm still expected to lug back my laptop and work from home!

I'm tired, I'm really tired. It's juz so unfair.

It's like when she's pregnant, she can come late and leave by mid day cos' she was feeling fatigue. Or she can go for long lunches with her favourite kaki, shop for her maternity clothes and come back at 3.30pm. For me? I'm expected to work like normal and fulfil her ridiculous deadlines all the time. I'm so deprived of taking annual leave and having good rest during this pregnancy. Life really sucks.

5 more months to go...

I have to just hang on...it's juz a blink of an eye....

Lady, you just watch out. Watch out on the karma, what has came round will definitely go round...just watch it.

I LOST the bet

The title says it all..I LOST!

Dr Chan was so quick to spot the bb's private part that he zoomed and enlarged the screen to convince me.

"It's a water pistol! Can't you see it?" Dr Chan exclaimed.

Urgghh....boring x 10, the screen really showed the little penis throbbing in action. Little junior goh is really obedient this time round. The daddy was speaking to him the night before, asking him to open his legs wide during the scan to let us know the gender, and yeh, he really opened his wides real wide during the first 2 mins! But when Dr Chan wanted to see the water pistol again, the little one decided to close his legs, as if telling us that, hey, you want me to open legs for you to see, i've already did, dun ask me to open again ok?

Haha...this boy has an attitude. I like!

Did the triple test too, they took like 3 tubes of blood and now my arm has a small blue black bruise. Crossing fingers that there will no abnormalities on the test and all is good.

Told the sista about me having a boy over the phone and she was ecstatic. Haha...US is actually having Osh Kosh 70% sale and she said now she can go wild shopping spree and start collecting nice clothes for junior goh.

Errm...I think I still wanna pin on some hopes for a gal...as long as it's not out yet, there's hope right?

Haha...

Finally!

They should be arriving in Manila anytime from now. Am so glad that I've made the right decision not to go, it has been hell working on the preparations last week, imagine there will be more work and toil over there? I don't even want to think about it..

So here are some updates which I've absolutely no time to blog about it:

Work

Been working late every night since last week, practically reaching home at 10pm. I wished I could have the energy to stay later together with the two gals, but pregnancy made me fatigue easily and I have to be in bed by 11pm the latest. The tyrant boss was getting out of hand lately, when she learnt that we have been working late, her first comment was, "Why do you ladies have to work so late??"

Errmmm...what do you mean why? We are not playing hide and seek in the office, wasting the office's resources...we're getting our butts off doing all the last minute preparations for the Conference! Finalising guests' RSVPs, their flight details, communication with the events company and the Hotel, brainstorimg for team activities, filing the welcome kits, etc....what do you mean why?? Sometimes she juz amazes me with her bimbotic comments. *roll eyes* Don't want to help (she comes to work at 10am and leaves at 5!), nevermind, dun be so insensitive lah!

PREGNANCY

I have to apologise to junior Goh, have been neglecting it for the entire last week cos' I was both mentally and physically too tired. Been starving myself too cos' could only have dinner at 10pm, but the gals and other colleagues have been super sweet, they didn't want me to starve, so ordered different type of home deliveries every night. Wed we had Mac, Thur we had Canadian Pizza and Fri we had KFC. Haha...all junks....I hope my weight gain didn't shoot rocket high this month...*cross fingers*

The 4th month scan is dued tmr. Will also be doing the triple test (blood test), wonder how much blood they are going to suck me dry. Hubby Goh will not be joining me to the clinic cos' he's OMO in the office tmr. Sigh...sianz...I really wish he can come along to "see" junior Goh together...it's been like a month! I really miss seeing him/her through the scan. Hopefully can tell the gender by tmr? The colleagues are all putting their bets that I'm having a BOY, so I'm going to prove them all wrong that it's GAL tmr...haha..通杀!!

The bump is getting bigger by the day, so much so that it kinda hurt when I tried standing after been sitting too long. It's only 4th month leh...better to start some light exercising before things get worse...way to go gal!

Hope Hubby Goh can knock off in time today to go Motherhood exhibition with me later...today's the last day leh..that stupid man is always busy with work. *sulks*

Feeling Lousy

In a fucked-up mood today at work.

I wish I can just throw the letter and go...
