Party Party!

X'mas Party was held at muar's place this year. Had alot of food...turkey, honey baked ham with pineapples, ikea meatballs, sakae sushi premium platter, salads, brownies with ice-cream, log cakes....wine..beer..booze...

It was practically a pig-out time for all of us....

the leftovers...the turkey was too much..though we only ordered the smallest..

James was super late, so we saved him some "balls" and decorated fine-dining style for him..with the honey baked ham..

the turkey...

the couple getting hitched next June..see how radiant the bride to be is!

Ophilia and Jorene..

Serene and Muar (so fat!!)

what is a party without MJ?

someone's cards...i think it was Chee Seng's..

then they proceeded for poker..sigh..these obsessed gamblers..

we took a shot while warming the brownies...

we ate from 6pm to 12am..total of 6 freaking hours!! Log cake was the last, cos' Jorene said we can only after the clock strikes 12! (x'mas)..haha..

It was a super busy day (i is like a maid) but quite enjoyable lah. Next yr it will be at Serene's "lounge" and is my turn to order her around since she's the host! Muhahaha...

Merry X'mas!! Lots of Pics...

It was the eve of X'mas eve, hubby goh didn't have to work (yeah!), so off we went for a shopping spree and good dinner..

Went to this French Restaurant ala Kopitiam style at off Serangoon Road. The restaurant setting was kinda old-school, not lavishly furnished like the usual French restaurants you see. But nevertheless, it didn't bother us much cos the quality of the food was equally good, and what do you know, it's only a fraction of what you would really spend in a normal restaurant!

Had the escargots and foie gras (duck liver!!) for appetisers. The foie gras was so sooo sooooo GOOD! It was pan-fried till crisp on the outside and when you sink your teeth onto it, the foe gras just melt inside your mouth...mama mia! It's not expensive lor..juz $18.50!

I had the chicken leg..

Hubby goh had the grilled pork chop...

By then I was too full...but Hubby Goh die die had to try their chocolate souffle...

*burp*

Total damage: $62 for 2 persons...not that bad lah...

After good food..we went for late night shopping at Marina Square!!

It's been a long time since I bought something for the hubby. And since I will be having my 13th month bonus soon, I have decided to get him a watch cos the poor chap only had a watch to go with his office and casual wears.

We scouted a couple of shops and found the watches either too common or not within my budget. And juz when we decided to drop the idea and wanna head home, we spotted this Nautica chrono. I fell in love with it and so did he!! The sales assistant was telling us that their watches only come in one piece for one model, so we quickly grab!

Hubby goh is definitely one happy man this X'mas!

Lucky Lucky...Never Been So Lucky!

Been practically bumping around like a walking zombie today.

Last night's Dinner & Dance left me so strained that I went back home with aching legs and a super active mind. The excitement of the games played, the funny moments of the show kept playing in my mind the entire night. I think I only managed to turn in at only 3 or 4am?

Anyway, glad that all went well for the kick off meeting and the Dinner & Dance. I think all the staff really enjoyed themselves last night...the programme, the emcee, the games, the lucky draw, all were simply PERFECT for them. Seeing them laughing and getting all wild throughout the night really gave me a sense of satisfaction. Even the CEO and VP were such good spots to participate in all the activities and laughing out loud every now and then. That's hard work paid off you know? At least I know those extra hours put in for the past weeks, planning for the perfect event was well spent. At least those numerous late night and lunch time shopping for lucky draw items were also worth the trouble. I is happy!

And what's more happy than winning the 5th prize of the Lucky Draw? Haha...yeh yeh...pls feel jealous..I is won a fujifilm finepix F20 Digital Camera! It was sponsored by a business partner, so I'm still unsure the value, but am sure that it's worth more than $350. Not bad not bad..I was still contemplating to auction off the current Olympus cam and top up a little to get a new one. Now it's a brand new 6 megapixel...wooooooooooooo....so excited...will get the chance to use it at the upcoming X'mas Party!! Now, anyone keen to offer a price for my old cam? Only used for 2 yrs, comes in funky orange (limited edition!!), I take good care of my gadgets, so no worries about the condition..
Ley Long...Ley Long ah!!

Christmas Party is ON!

We stuffed ourselves silly at the River Pearl Restaurant's ala carte buffet (Suntec City). It was not too bad, esp. that the buffet comes with "mini" buddha jump over the wall, peking duck and a miserable 100g per person fresh prawns. Oh..they also have durian and mango puddings at the dessert bar too..woohoo! No doubt that I'm going back there again..but not so soon...been binging on food lately..hee..

The dinner went on really well with the rest of the 6 crazy friends...except that there was a little drama when the super late couple entered with a grand entrance. The lady was all flustered with anger, the guy's face was as dark as charcoal. They both each took turn to leave the restaurant to take a breather and eventually the super pissed lady left in a huff with all of us worrying sick. Never mind about the saga, two hours of pampering and coaxing, the couple finally made up and joined us for drinks at Paulaner. Sigh...is this what a relationship is about?

Anyway, three cheers for the upcoming X'mas party!! This time will be at muar's place. A pity that we don't have a Christmas tree to build up the Christmas mood...but since they wanna do away with the gift exchance this year...guess the tree is not that important at all..haha. Food! Food is the main on that day...so off we went today to order the turkey and the honey baked ham..the must haves for X'mas parties!! Jorene is getting the yummy Log Cake and we made Renne to order the sushi platter from Sakae...hope someone gets chicken wings and desserts...hehe..

Countdown...10 more days to Bang Cock!

Busy busy busy busy busy....

Think I don't have to repeat myself. Yea, been freaking busy at work that I hardly find time to blog. Next week's the sales kick off meeting and also the company's 1st dinner and dance. The MD has conveniently arrowed me to organise both events juz becos I did the preliminary round of research of venues earlier.

Anyway, been running around like a mad woman buying the lucky draw prizes, game prizes, sales awards and etc for the event. Buy and buy, but none's for myself. So sad! And the buying process wasn't so easy lor. Gotta take into consideration that our overseas staff are also attending so I can't buy bulky prize like TV, iSqueeze or even rice cooker..haha. And even if I did buy stuff, it must come with worldwide warranty. Else once it break down, they have an excuse of flying to S'pore to have it repaired!

I suppose you people are already aware of MANGO SALE? I is such a loser this time. Didn't know about until lindy msn me that her auntie has gone bongus at Mango Sale. I was like, huh? Mango Sale? How come I don't know? Totally lost...

Anyway, how could I ever missed Mango Sale right? So taking the chance that I had to buy some more stuff for the D&D, I headed to town alone during lunchie juz now and uncovered the entire Mango outlet at Ngee Ann City. Damage done? $140!! Haha...Got 2 tops and a flattering skirt that will promise to make slim at all times. I like!

Getting butterflies in the stomach. Hope all things will turn out well for the D&D cos' CEO and VP (from Norway) will also be present!! Crossed toes, crossed fingers!

Bright Sunny Sunday

Work up exceptionally early today (9am!), if only the hubby doesn't need to work, we could have adjourned for a lomantic breakfast together, something which we haven't been doing eversince he switched his job. *sigh*

Anyway, I embarked the day with keeping yday's laundry, made breakfast for myself, reading the papers and washing the toilet. Have reserved the rest of the day to do some work for the Empress Dowager (my boss la!) cos' the sales kick off meeting is drawing near and she needs my inputs for her presentation.

The department will see quite a few restructuring come next year. The customer service manager has juz tendered, cited personal reasons. The MD thus took this opportunity and dumped the dept under my boss's hands. Weird. When has customer service became part of marketing? The only conclusion we could derive was the MD wanted to expand the boss's portfolio so that will justify him promoting her next year to Marketing Director. See, smart move. And to add fuel to fire, his PA will be reporting directly to my dept, having to oversee some marketing coordination works at the same time. I is confused. So where does the line draw? Everyone seems to do dual scope in the office but drawing the same pay. How can?

On the other hand, Lori babe has recommended me a job lobang and I'm deliberating if I should go find out more about this position. I mean, I love my current job and I wish to stay at least another year to learn more as a capacity of a managerial role, but but...opportunity don't come knocking on our doors all the time..should I grab this chance before it slips away? I dunno....

All right, it's 1pm...time to get work started... :(

Not Productive Without iPod

The absent-minded me forgot to bring the ipod charger to office today.

Now I'm kinda brain freezed and retarded without the ipod...it is failing on me as the stupid owner forgot to recharge it last night at home. Urks Urks.

Somehow I work better with the ear plugs and ipod on...the radio keep blasting uninspiring songs that doesn't help in my brainstormings...oh well..except the Christmassy songs lah...only to find myself giving stupid ideas like bundle my hardware with logcakes (duh!), plan year end clearance sale (when the hardware dun even have stock! haha..), or free X'mas tree with every purchase ...duh...I know, all useless shite ideas...

My Colleague is a SLACKER

I is pissed. The stupid colleague sneaked out of the office to have kopi with frens at 3pm and juz came back!

Just because the boss and the big boss are not around for the day doesn't mean that he can skive during office hours?!

There are so much stuff to be done and yet he went yakking??

Urrgghh......so irresponsible!

So much backlogged work at his end but he didn't bother at all...ok, fine..if there's any delay on any project, I'm gonna make him answer for it. WTF.

It's Mid Week!

Time flies! It's already mid week and 19 days to Christmas and 22 days to Bangkok!!

What a countdown! Hee!

I wanna complain about this cab driver last night. Had too much work to settle so ended up being the last second person to leave the office. As usual, I hailed a cab home (cos' can claim mah). This stupiak driver asked which way I wanna take; well usually I will say ECP cos' but dunno why last night I said up to him and for what you know, this smart alex chose the most
jammed expressway - PIE, where it took a total of 25mins to reach home (normal journey will only take 15mins!). Nevermind about that, the cab fare also came up to a hefty 11 bucks. I was pretty mad at that time cos' a hungry woman is an angry woman. And then you know what? My purse only left a miserable $50 note, I handed to him to pay for the cab fare. He turned around and insisted that he doesn't have change for that. I mean hey! He is a cab driver, and I'm sure I wasn't his first customer, how could he not have change?? I was trying to tell him that I really have no small change for the $11 fare (it's true!), so he took a peep out of the windows and then urged me to go change with the people at the bus stop. At that point, I was already boiling inside. At that time of the day, there was only an old man and 2 teenagers at the bus stop, you think they would have small change for 50 bucks??? Lucky the provision shop owner was half-closing his shop, so I quickly ran towards him and begged him to break the note for me. Uncle even suggested me to ignore the cab driver and just head home without paying him cos' he was being nasty. But hell, I'm not such person lor.

I still can't get over with that cab driver, you know? He probably watched too much Crime Watch and thought I'm a crook to cheat him out of the $50. Maybe he thought it was a counterfeit note? Wa lao..please lor...if I ever meet such drivers again, I will lodge a complain to their cab company. I mean, they are cab drivers leh, shouldn't they get ready lose change for their transactions? What if I alighted at some ulu samy area where there's no bus stop and provision shops? Where can I dig small change for him? Urgghhhhh!!!

Broody hewl..

Christmas Shopping Half Done

Orchard was packed to the brim yday. People were buying and buying like everything is free. Everyone was carrying shopping bags filled to the brim and the gals at the wrapping counters couldn't even stop to catch their breath.

Well, I guess it's the usual phenomenal in Singapore. And especially so when people are getting big fat bonuses end of this month. I still dunno if I will get mine next month, the big boss damn quiet leh.

Anyway, I is a happy gal now that my Christmas shopping is already half-done. Was at Tangs checking out some evening bags but ended up got tempted by this red huge-ass PVC hobo bag near the entrance. I couldn't resist and brought to the full length mirror to check if the bag looks good on me. It was not expensive, just $45.90, so headed to the cashier and paid...and to my delight, haha..I could redeem the points from the credit card and what do you know..I got it free..at no cost at all..haha!

Then the hubby finished his work and came to pick me up to Marina Square to get the suitcase I was eyeing the week before. RED. I chose the red "Crossing" suitcase cos' it was damn chio and it came with a detachable shoe pouch, toiletries pouch, a compartment for me to hang my suit jacket with hanger and an extension funtion at the pocket outside. It's so pretty lor, even the hubby also fell in love with it. Not pricey, only $98 after a 10% discount. Hee.

Yah I know, I'm obsessed with RED right now. Green is already passe and soon you will start spotting my wardrobe to shift from all shades of green to all shades of red. Haha.

Move it Green, make space for Red!

Love the Holiday Season :)

The weather was uber good yday...sunny yet breezy and needless to say, the laundry was done within a day!

Housework was all done, office work was "somewhat" completed too (will finish up tmr lah!)....so now I wanna get set to town to do some X'mas shopping! Even juz window shopping, checking out X'mas decor and listening to X'mas songs in the shopping malls will make me happy.

The working hubby is very worried when I told him that I wanna venture town alone later..haha. Just last night, he was reminding me to save money for the BKK trip cos' I told him that I wanna buy 11 pairs of shoes. Keke..and he was also suggesting that we should call the carpentry guy to build a spare shoe cabinet for me after I lug the new shoes back from the trip! Aiya...you think I so lose control meh? Buy 11 pairs of shoes? Last Fri after the meeting with the events company in town, I ended up buying toiletries and a pair of boxer shorts for the hubby instead. No clothes or shoes...and I was in time back for the 10pm HK airline drama series...see, I'm a good gal.

Alright..gotta go..it's shopping shopping time!

Weeeeeeeeee!! It's Friday!

The day finally came! I is so looking forward to waking up late over the weekend, nua-ing and doing a little shopping.

Yeh, I is so deprived of shopping lately. Seems like ages that I spent money. I stood in front of my wardrobe this morning and nearly wanted to take the day off today cos' I realised I dun have any nice clothes to wear anymore. *wail*

My clothes are outdated, fugly, and boring. My wardrobe needs a change badly!!

Esther said she bought 10 freaking pairs of shoes in BKK..10 pairs!! OMFG!! So Jorene was telling me we cannot lose to her, we have to buy 11 pairs! Haha...

I'm going to get the red suitcase from World's Traveller tmr..hehe. That blardy SQ spoilt my Fila one on my trip back from Dubai. Nabei..the whole pocket got latched off ok? I is so heartpain. But the one I'm going to buy is pretty pretty...got 10% discount somemore. So better go get it before they ran out of stock (as always the case!).
