New Job New Beginning

Yup, started on the new job and today's the 3rd day. Not much happening yet as Boss left for Jarkarta today, so I reckon from next week onwards, it will be madness!

Somehow quite stressed out about the upcoming Bootcamp in US which I need to attend in Sept. Horrors of horrors, it's a one-week thingy that includes lectures, tutorials, tests and what-nodes. It's been donkey years that I have gone to school and taking tests and exams just send shivers to my spine. Urghh. The best part? If fail any of the tests, gotta re-take...the bottomline is you must pass all before you return back to your homeland. OMFG!

Anyway, got a lobang from an ex colleague today. It's a contract position at a high profile IT company and I'm not sure if I should explore further since I'm only on my 3rd day at work. It's not very nice to leave the company you have joined recently within such a short span of time righ? But the JD (job description) do sound interesting and the hirer told me that she could match my pay here or I can nego further with her. Hmmm....I guess I will just go for the informal interview tmr and then decide from there. At the end of the day, I'm looking at job satisfaction and of cos' MONEY...and this is not a regional role, which means I won't have to spend lonely days in overseas and miss Hubby and Baby Goh lor...ok whichever which...let's just see how the interview goes tmr la..

Another Prayer Answered!

Yes, it's official and I've been retrenched on 1 July! Haha...

Ted was telling me that he has never seen someone who got retrenched and is so happy, must be siao...haha..but my case is different, I've got a job and I'm sitting on the resignation letter everyday, praying hard that they will offer me the golden handshake as soon as possible. And I'm glad that my prayer has again been answered! Not only they asked me to go, they gave me an attractive compensation package that could last me at least for half a year!! Now, I can buy Hubby Goh the Omega watch he has been eyeing all these while, hehe..

Anyway though I was kinda happy that they broke news to me on Tue, I was also feeling upset at the same time. Sad because I have put in so much effort in this company but all I got is disappointment and resentment. I was given an hour to pack up and go as they only told me at 5pm, it was so fortunate that by then I have already finished backing up my files and stuff so I only need to empty the drawers, did some simple handover, pat my ass and leave the office for good. Never did I turn and look back as hubby goh told me that it's bad omen....I left with shoulders wide and with all pride, feeling all relieved that all the shit is behind me right now and I dun need to be entangled in the office politics and gun shoots anymore. I'm a happy person now.

So for now, i'm going to spend quality time with the family and helpout with the sista with her newborn as much as I can. Maybe shld schedule the photoshoot for Garreth soon also...this boy is growing too fast, so must capture his baby face before he's not baby anymore...hehe..
