A Well Deserved Short Break
Rest was what I needed and the long weekend came in handy to rest my tired mind and busy brain. Nonetheless I still brought home my lappie to complete some unfinish work and check emails which was everlasting from the rest of the region.
Managed to catch the show World Trade Center on Monday night with the hubby. You know what? I think S'poreans have abandoned Orchard and Suntec for the newly opened Vivo City. My initial plan was to get the buy one get one free movie ticket from HSBC at Vivo, that has to be bought over the counter, so I made my way there wanting to do some "light" shopping and get the movie tickets before meeting the hubby for dinner. It was a bad bad move lor. The place is so congested that I had to inch my way to GV!! And what's worst, the show tickets were all snapped up at 5pm when I wanted to get the 9pm show!! Grrrrrr!! I think I will stick to GV Plaza at the moment for shows till the "heat" for Vivo City die down...
And did I mention that CS was admitted to the hospital for a burst appendix? That poor chap had to spend his long weekends in TTS. He is so gung-ho, the appendix was burst for a couple of days and he could still report for work with all the cramps and pains. haha..
Also celebrated MIL's bday in the nice Zhi Char place in Geylang Lor 3. Not in those sleazy backlanes lah, Lor 3 is pretty decent and "clean". We had alot of seafood, crabs, lobster, prawns, etc..etc...the bill came up to $300+!! Haha.lucky it was MIL's treat cos' her 3 sons pooled and bought her a new Samsung phone. Not bad a deal huh?
Oh yes! I wanna rave about the new glasses I bought yesterday!! Ya ya...I know, it's my 4th pair till date, but that's becos' I needed to replace the pair I wear to work as it got a chip on my right lens. I admit I'm clumsy ok? And that also gave me the lame excuse of buying a new pair...kekeke. This time I chose a red frame, a rather thin frame as compared to the Sovil Titus I owned now. Yeah. Will post up pics next week when I collect it.
Right now..it's back to work again... *yawn*
