My Niece, My Darling

It was the niece's school concert last evening. Fwah, the school damn high-crass ok, they held their annual concert at the Victoria Concert Hall. I don't even remember having my kindergarden graduation ceremony anywhere except the PAP classroom itself.

The whole family got all excited over the concert cos' well, our little princess is performing!! Apparently all the classes, ranging from nursery to K2 had to perform an item revolving around the Space Odysessy theme. I think kids are getting real smart nowadays cos' the script was not only written by the Pastor of the church, it was also co-written by some of the K2 students as well. Anyway, Megen was the Milk Girl for her class's item. We didn't really trust her words 100% when she told us she's "dancing like a Milk Girl in school". Some weeks back she was still practising her dance steps to us, but we just couldn't decipher what she was doing until last night.
Anyway, she was the "Superstar" of the night. We all took turns to take pics with her cos she looked too cute in her Milk Girl costume!

My turn..

Ah gong's turn..

and there..with her Ah-Mah!
We took some wacky photos while her mommy was busy buying photos taken from the rehearsal and chatting with her classmates mamas.

I have to mention this. I is so proud of my little niece. After the graduation ceremony for the K2 kids, they actually had this special Excellent Conduct Award category to reward kids for their explemenary conduct and good behavior in school. Every class has 2 winners each and my sweetie emerged as one of the winners in her Sunshine 9 class! It came as a surprise for us as we were not told about this award. The sista was so happy and touched that she couldn't resist a tear or two during the award presentation. Well, the little one has been a good girl since she was one, and has been the apple of her teachers' eyes since she started school, so I guess this little award fo her is well-deserved.
You know, having kids is like blessed with a great gift in this world. When I saw how the small kids mastering their dance steps and enjoying themselves on stage, I was moved to tears. I mean, hey, they are only 4 yr old, the most 6 yr old kids, but they know what is teamwork, they coordinated their steps well, and there were not a single sign of stage fright. I is so amazed. I is so proud of them. I is wanna applaude the good work of the teachers. Providing a good foundation of your kids is simply too important. I know, yeh..it is too spendthrift to send them to expensive school at such a young age, but put it this way, if you can afford it, why not right? It's not that my sista is earning big bucks every month, but see the results of my niece now? I think it's a well-worth life-long investment! Your kids will most probably thank you when they have turn out to be successful in future!
This is the finale, the kids and teachers all gathered together to sing.

After the performance, Megen and her best friend, Alicia

We were all starving and the princess requested for some french fries...haha..she don't usually get the fries because it was termed as "junk food" in her parents' vocabulary. But since she has done a great job performing plus winning the award and doing us proud, we gave in to her request and she was happy like a bird!

So now, when's my turn to get my best gift?
