Work Rants

Went through a rollercoaster ride last week at work. It was a joke that all the hoo-has were created cos' of some nitty issues on flight and hotel recommendations by an Indian travel agent which upsetted the petty Managing Director in India. And things did not get any better when the Sales Director who was accompanying him on the trip was fanning the fire with more fumes. He was the one who approved all arrangements in India but sadly, he turned the table and put the blame on me for not consulting his local sales guys before making all the decisions.

I'm speechless. It's like when all things went on well, credits were not given to me. But when things got hitches, fingers were pointed at me for being the sinner of all sinners in the company!

And it was so hypocritical! The Sales Director came to my room earlier and asked if I'm currently on great pressure. WTF! Are you gloating on me or what?

And what's worst, one of my gals committed an unwanted mistake for making the wrong encryption for a trophy! Not only did the MD jumped mad, it was sheer embarrassment handing the wrong trophy to our customers too! I cannot tolerate such old school mistakes in my team and though I didn't lecture the two gals, I made sure my point is communicated to them and they do not commit such childish mistakes again for future events. I mean everyone makes mistakes and we learn from mistakes, I'm forgiving, but not the Management.

I dunno, I just dun seem to be able to take all these shit crap complaints anymore. Once these come, all energy will be focused on war-fighting, and mind you, it's war-fighting with the internal staff, not external, and the world just surrounds this issue, till one party is pacified and happy with the explanations and rectification actions.

Am super sianz and just counting the days I "pop". I can do just this much and I can only try my best to do it right. Want something more? Get someone else to do it and I'm more than happy to leave this place for a more human-friendly environment.

I hate this company.
