Hiccups

Starting to feel BB Goh's hiccups in the womb a couple of days back. They feel like small spasms in the belly, continuous tappings in the pelvis area, damn cute.

Was checking the internet on the cause and is pleased to know that baby hiccups are completely normal. It's just a fetal reflex that is similar to us, and only the mature fetuses will hiccup as hiccups rely on the development of the central nervous system. And it could be a response to fetal drinking or fetal breathing, which causes the flow of amniotic fluid in and out of the lungs, stimulating the diaphram to contract. Good thing to also know that some researchers even suggest that hiccups are actually soothing to the babies, and help them to relieve a variety of pressures on their lungs and organs.

So, no worries at all!

Anyway, we went to do more shopping at Ikea last evening. I'm almost reaching the 3rd tri, so better to get all the necessities before I turned bulkier and lazier. Hehe. Spent a whopping $700+ for the 2 items as well as some storage boxes and decor items for BB Goh's room. Will be starting to pack his tiny clothes and stuff in the drawers and shall see if there's a need to buy more. The bed is for the confinement lady and will be BB Goh's future bed, hopefully the mattress we have fits..haha..

Still has a couple of stuff to buy..sigh..how come so many things to buy huh? Like neverlasting...electric airport, car seat, diapers, toiletries...etc....aiyo...headaches...

Robinsons just started their Nursery Fair, will be checking out next week. The Taka one is a disappointment, nothing much and discounts are not hefty either. Boy, I'm sounding more and more like an auntie now! Grrr....
