Simple Sunday Bliss

I love the weather today, I love how simple the day has went so far.

Woke up exceptionally early this morning as Baby Goh started his gungfu exercise at 8am. He kicked me, so I kicked Hubby Goh till he wakened and gave me a frown. Haha. We decided to head to Tiong Bahru Market for breakfast. So knowing that mummy dearest loves the food variety there, I picked up the phone while still in bed and woke everyone up at home. Hee.

I love having breakfast with my family. For the first time, Dad went all the way to get me my favourite chee cheong fun and warm soya bean milk. Mum went to queue for the peanut cake I wanted, and Hubby Goh took the queue for the famous Sharks fin Lor Mee. Yucks...sounds cruel huh, but it was quite tasty actually with all the fried flour thingy in it. I practically sat at the table like a princess, waiting to be served, and that's where I realised again how great my folks are, as compared to somebody else.. I love you both, mummy and daddy!

After the sumptuous and satisfying breakfast, Mum wanted to get some fresh fish from the wet market, so we ended buying fish (yeah, cord fish!), prawns, pork and of cos' fruits. I is happy, cos' I know Mummy is cooking up a good feast again next week for me with all these fresh ingredients she bought. Not cheap you know, I think we spent about $100 just at the wet market!!

Hubby Goh was so exceptionally funny during the marketing trip. There was so many stalls selling seafood, but just one stall which was selling some gory bloody fishes. He was so fascinated with the bloody fishes that I reckon he has spent about 5mins standing there staring! But it was after that he explained he was trying to dare himself for watching the bloody stuff at the stall so as to prepare for THE big day to come. Aye...he and his frens lah, apparently they pre-warned him that natural birth could be a gruesome sight so they wanted him to get mentally prepared so that he will not lose his guts in the delivery room. And hah! He said he will do the dad's deed of cutting Baby Goh's umbilical cord too, ermm...I'm just praying hard that he would be sober enough and not cut something else on that day..haha.

Anyway, that aside, Hubby Goh drove me to the sista's place for the wkend swim. I think I swam about 15 laps altogether today? Quite contented with my achievement, hopefully I can still maintain this when I reached the 3rd tri. Was supposed to dine with the in-law's family this evening, but the troublesome MIL called to postpone it cos' they wanted to have crabs next week and claimed that eating out for a consecutive 2 weekends is gonna cost a bomb! Well, whatever...I've decided to cook instead, teriyaki chicken wings, sausage omelette and chap chye, simple dishes just for the both of us.

Life's good :)
