More Shopping!

The part-time helper finally came yesterday.

Clad in pink spag top and jeans capri, she greeted me a friendly "Hello Mdm!" when I opened the door for her. Though a Filippino, she dun quite really understand the english I spoke to her, so most of the time I tried to simply my instructions and gave her some hand signs to ensure that we're in sync.

She was quite a great help actually, full of initiatives. She spotted dust on the study table while vacuuming the floor, so she quickly went to her handbag and reached for a piece of "wonder cloth" and started cleaning the table. When she vacuumed the living room, she made sure that she dragged the sofa out and clear the dust behind. I was impressed! The only complain I had was that she still needs a little practise on her ironing skills. Hubby Goh's working shirts still looked a little creasy after pressing, but well, nothing's perfect, unless I want to DIY again, which frankly I don't really have the energy to do anymore. In the end, I paid the helper a little more than her charging rates cos' she really helped to make the house spick and span again. Hope she won't be in her spagh top again next week, else Hubby Goh's gonna nose bleed (if he's at home) when she bent to do the mopping..haha!

Anyway, since the house was already tidied by the time Hubby Goh came back from work, we headed for early dinner and went Suntec for more shopping! This time we stocked up the baby changing mat, baby powder cases, bottle brush and a Hot Flask for my confinement use. I reckon it's good to purchase some of the necessities on a weekly basis, rather then to rush them all at once nearer the delivery date. It will help to spread out our expenses and let us have more time to prepare for some other important stuff during the 3rd tri.

Junior Goh's kickings have been quite intense lately. Initially it felt like stomach pulsating during week 16, then gradually it was like thumping, now at 23rd weeks, he's like practising "Wu Ying Jiao" inside the womb: the kicks have became powerful and strong, and that's perhaps he could have grown bigger and the space inside the womb became limited for his daily movement. :)

Anyway, it had became a routine for Hubby Goh to tell Baby Goh a bedtime story before we both goes to sleep. And before the lights are out, Hubby Goh will lean near my tummy and tell Baby Goh affectionately to sleep tight and not kick me throughout the night. He has been a good boy all along except last Friday when Hubby Goh had to attend a late night function and couldn't come home till 2am. Perhaps Baby Goh was staging a protest, he was so lively and kicking me non stop throughout the night that I hardly catch a good wink! So last night, the routine was back again, Hubby Goh spoke to Baby Goh again before we turned in and amazingly, the little one gave me an easy night and I woke up fresh and good this morning! Not sure it's all pure concidental, but it's just hard not to believe that babies inside us really do hear us! It's gonna be interesting to experiment more things on him while he is inside the womb!

Listening to Mozart now..it's making me sleepiak...and I think it has made Baby Goh sleepy too cos' the kicks had came to a halt! Haha...my little darling...
