Naughty Little One

Been so swarmed with work lately. Buddy colleague has finally left last Fri, leaving me with no lunch kakis anymore..boo hoo. That smart alec did the right move to leave now, it's now or never, he doesn't have any commitments anyway, so well, good for him.

Managed to squeeze some time on Monday to go for the 12th week scan and checkup. BB now measures 6.16cm at 12 weeks 1 day. Still a little long as compared to the rest, but I guess it's ok lah, we have to thank our genes for that. Dr Chan also did NT scan on it, the neck thickness measures at 1.44mm, so it's low risk for DS, which is a relief for us. The lazy little one seems to be sleeping during the scan, was lying face down and legs crossing, with occasional movements on the legs and hands. Can't tell the gender yet as its legs were hindering and the angle it was lying on was too much of a challenge for Dr Chan to detect if bb has a "third" leg or not. BB's nose has developed too, by next month, its ears and mouth should be fully formed too.

Somehow the gender doesn't matter to me anymore, what's important is the bb is healthy and born full term. After seeing Jasmine dear's premature bb a fortnight ago, it suddenly dawns me that a healthy diet and routing exercising are so so important to ensure nothing goes wrong on the pregnancy. Even an all-time low blood gal like her can get attacked by high blood pressure at the 7th month of her pregnancy, so what's not possible?

Anyway, weight gain has been on the rise...I measured 1.2kg heavier than 4 weeks ago, a total of 1.9kg gain for the 1st trimester, haha...way to go gal!

Embarking on the 2nd trimester soon...yay!
