BB Goh is Growing Well *grin*
I almost forgot and I shouldn't have forgotten... to update about BB Goh.
Well, the 5th month check up last Friday (Friday the 13th) went on well and smooth. The first question I asked as I was getting ready for the scan was "Is it still a BOY?".
Dr Chan was amused by this silly MTB, but well I just want to reconfirm my doubts that BB Goh is really a boy and there will be no "surprises" during the delivery. Ok, I admit, I was still secretly praying that it turns out to be a gal la....but Dr Chan again shattered my hope cos' twice he managed to locate BB Goh's di di and even superimposed it to prove me wrong. Oh well...ok lor..great...I'm really having a boy boy! Hee..
Statistics Update:
BB Goh weighed 443gm @ 20weeks and 5 days
- Dr Chan had a hard time measuring his head cos' he was lying in a rather awkard position facing us, so he had to agar-agar the measurements based on what he can locate. According to him, BB Goh is growing well and like his daddy and mummy, he is longer and bigger than an average baby. Cool!
My weight gain = 1.4kg since 4 weeks ago
- I'm glad that I didn't ballooned to more than 2 kg this month. Probably it's due to exercising and cutting down on carbo intake. I should persevere in the gym and do my routine swim over the weekend to keep up with it. Dr Chan is quite pleased that I'm watching my weight consciously so he didn't nag at me like the way he did with the other forum gals. Hee. So far, total weight gain is 5.4kg, don't think I can follow the sister's footstep to maintain a mere 8kg weight gain till birth. Sob. I'm targetting at 14kg the max, 2kg only for each remaining month (4 months). Hope I can achieve it.
Been hearing loads of horror stories about labour pain and stuff. Personally I don't have a high threshold for pain but I do hope I have the determination to reject epidural. Like Florence mentioned, Positive Mind Positive Thinking...if you think you don't want it, you will not want it. She's one super heroine to go through the entire course of labour pain without epidural, just like my sista, mummy and Poey Ee. And I want to be like them. If they can do it, I can also do it :)
