Employees' World, Not Employers' World
The economy has picked up, the gahmen was so happy bragging about low unemployment rate in the papers some time ago. But that not necessarily has brought cheers to the employers.
Ok, so I have finally managed to get a gal for the 2 mths contract temp position, after being played out twice by a chinese gal and a Malay gal. The latter was so near, yet so close. She was a good fit to what I want, I requested her to start work immediately the next day after the interview, but she said she would like to begin on Monday instead as she had some errands to run. My agency spoke to her and realise that she had 2 other interviews to attend the next day, and she was more keen on permanent position than a contract one. I mean, yeh, I understand how she feels, but then she shouldn't have expressed such keeness to my offer during the interview if she really thinks that her main objective is to get a permanent position rather than a contract temp.
She dragged the day to sign my contract as she was waiting answer from another company. I was getting impatient and started to call another agency to SOS. I interviewed this new person but is still rooting for good news from the previous gal. Eventually I heard she got offered a permanent position and rejected mine. Fine, what is this case as compared to the previous? At least she was considerate to inform me and not gone MIA.
So now, my only worry is whether this new gal is able to deliver what I require. *cross fingers & toes*
On a side note, farks, it's raining on a Saturday! Can you believe it? My laundry's not dry! I can't wash the second batch of clothes! Grrrrrrrrggrrr...
